1. Where is Henn House BBQ located?
Henn House BBQ is based in Altona, Illinois. Wedding tastings, Cooking with Phil, and our take-home-meals happen right from our Henn House home base at 521 Walnut Street, Altona, Illinois 61414!

2. Are you going to open a restaurant?
Although we know to "never say never"...opening a restaurant is not in the plan. We love being able to give personal high touch service to each of our catering clients and don't want a restaurant interfering with that. The Food Truck is a great middle ground for us!

3. Where is the food truck set up?
The Henn House BBQ food truck wanders! You'll find us in Galesburg, Oneida, Peoria, and more! The best way to keep up with locations is through our Food Truck Calendar.

4. How far do you travel?
Henn House BBQ caters events within 2 hours of our Altona Illinois home base. In Iowa, that would include Fort Madison, Burlington, Muscatine, The Quad Cities, and Clinton. In Illinois our catering service area includes Mendota, Ottawa, Sterling, LaSalle-Peru, Peoria-Morton, Havana, Bushnell, and Macomb. Our service area also includes everywhere in the Illinois counties of Knox, Warren, Henderson, Mercer, Rock Island, Henry, Bureau, Stark, Marshall and Putnam.
Our Food Truck will travel within 60 minutes of our home base.

5. Do you have a serving staff?
We have an awesome staff! Henn House BBQ started with me (Phil) and a smoker. As we grew, we have added a great team to best serve our clients on site during your event.

6. Is there a minimum number of guests for catered events?
There is no minimum for catering! Planning a family gathering for 12 or a wedding for 1,000, we can accommodate your food service needs! Working with guest lists and budgets can be difficult, so we try to ease that burden by allowing you to customize a menu to fit your circumstances.
Our food truck has a minimum of $600 in sales for events within 60 minutes of our home base.

7. Are there menu items beyond smoked meat?
Yes! We have a full catering menu. Because our menu is customizable, you can decide what will work for you, your budget, and your event. Smoked brisket and pulled pork are the most popular items. Our menu also has a variety of delicious pastas, hams, prime rib, sloppy joes, vegetarian options, and many side dishes to choose from.
If you don't see it on our menu, just ask! We will do our very best to accommodate you.

8. Can we pick up meals to go?
Yes! We prepare take home dinners from our location in Altona, Illinois. Make sure you follow us on Facebook and Instagram for dates and times. We can also prepare your catered meal for pick up. That is the most economical way to enjoy Henn House BBQ!
